RE: Drive Mapping and synchronized passwords.

We enforce "complex passwords" in Windows and require a digit in our AS/400
password. My Windows password requires upper and lower case, and a digit.
Normally, the AS/400 password can be entered in all upper or all lower case
on the green screen.

With AS/400 mapped drives, I've found the first time you try to access a
drive after logon, it prompts for a password. If I enter my AS/400 password
in ALL UPPER CASE, the connection will be restored. Entering the password in
all lower case or exactly the same as in Windows (mixed case) does not
reconnect the drive.

This is the case when we change both the Windows and AS/400 password at the
same time.

I plan to look at EIM in a few months and hope it solves the majority of
problems with password synchronization.

Our AS/400 is our file server and email server. We've trained our users 
that they must change their PC, AS/400 and Outlook password at the same 
time. 

It has and continues to be a pain.

I'd like to know what everyone else is doing.
