Charles, You could write yourself a fake version of STRCOMCL (CLP) and put it in your library list ahead of your Gentran PGM lib. This way when the STRCOMSSN command goes to run the comm, it will run your fake version instead. Just make your fake guy take the same parameters as STRCOMCL (which you can get by doing a RTVCLSRC) and make it return an "S" in &STATUS to indicate a successful session. Obviously this will fake out the caller, but will not do anything to "simulate" a session, such as COMHST records, data on the queue, calls to EDCLUSER exit or anything like that.
