Here's the mess I'm in:
Following the instructions for C4077520, I had to load MF31528 from the Cum first. The load from Cum1 did not complete, got an error about a QSYS table being corrupt. I called Support, the tech said he had done this several times, told me to reload the LIC from CD, install the PTF, IPL, then do an immediate load of the CUM PTFs, IPL, then the Groups. OK, I grabbed an IBASE-1 CD for V5 off a shelf and started the IPL 'D M'. THe system stopped for 3 hours with SRC C140 1030 on the panel.
Then, I noticed that the Ibase cd I put in was for V5R1....oops in a big way. These were for a client, I never even had V5R1 loaded. So, I Re-IPL'd from the the V5R2 IBASE CD. Stopped for 1.5 hours with SRC 675A BE00 I forced the system to power off Started it up on a Save-21 Tape 'D M' Now it's been on SRC 675A B3E1 for the last hour.
Is it trying to tell me that the 675A controller is bad? I believe this is the controller which runs my CD and tape drive.
I'm struggling here, Any ideas?
