just called the Canadian embassy downtown.

You DO need proof of citizenship.  Specifically Driver's Licenses are not
proof.  You WILL need a birth certificate or a Passport!  Voter Reg cards
will not do it!  If you bring a birth cert, you will need a valid (presume
government issued) PHOTO ID....so bring the drivers license and birth cert
if you don't have a passport....

iSeries Nation "Passports" are not going to get you into Canada...they
only work in Jersey....:)

(I usually figured that my being here was sufficient certification that I
was born...:)
