Hello Bruce, Thanks for the update. If you could pass my name on to the dev staff, we would be happy to test the PTF when available. We are on the V5R3 beta program, but unfortunately haven't had time to get on the phone to try and resolve the issue with IBM V5R3 support since we were able to code a workaround. It looks like there was a change made to the message ID that gets output as a response to a remote command call. >From what we initially interpreted, we thought maybe IBM had seen sending escape messages back through the FTP stream as a security issue.
