For just these situations we create a save file that gets ftp'ed over to a linux box. The daily tapes go off site. If we need to fix a "whoops!" we just restore from the save file that is stored on the linux machine. Since disk for the linux box is so cheap, we can store as many of the save files as we want, naming them by date.
