What is the difference between 7208-341 and 7208-342?

Folks:

I know the 7208-341 tape drive attaches to RS/600 and 7208-342 attaches to AS/400. Besides this obvious difference, is there any other differences? Can the 341 attach to the AS/400 and vice versa? Both use Exabyte Mammoth 8900 HVD SCSI drive under the cover. Both use IDRC for compression. I suspect some firmware (FECODE & EECODE) differences but what else? Has anybody used the 341?
