I'm using Operations Navigator with Client Access
(Express) V5R1. Our AS/400 is at V4R5. We have a large
shared file structure under IFS/root for access by
Windows PC's. From time to time I need to enable write
access to a group of files or folders for a particular
user. Just adding a user to a folder does not provide
write access to the files inside, since they are also
individual objects. So the only option is to add
permission to individual files one by one, or give the
user permissions on a new folder, and copy all the
files in and back out of the folder.

Since these are cumbersome and time-consuming
operations, is there any way to add permissions for a
user to a group of files/folders simultaneously?

Thanks,

Will Galloway
