Well, over a week has passed, most of which passed without me, thanks to a
surpassingly nasty cold, and we've successfully backed up the 40S, and
done a successful "Normal" mode IPL. Now, it's acting like nothing weird
had ever happened.

Yet it still bugs me that I was completely unable to find a cause for the
problem, or any reference to the SRC that was its principal symptom.

The load source drive certainly wasn't dead, and even if it was, all
drives on the system were 100% mirrored, so BOTH load source drives would
have had to go at the same time, for that to be the problem.

Does 918BB981 ring any bells with anybody who wasn't around for the
original discussion?
