If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have done Query/400 at all. I would've gone with Query Manager instead, _especially_ for those students who had never worked with Query/400. Any who have worked with any form of SQL will have a leg up and be able to help others; and the prompted (non-SQL) user interface is reasonably close enough to Query/400 even to be an intro to Query/400 later, though I have no idea why anyone would ever switch. Further, Query Manager profiles give administrators significant control over what users can do.
