Imo, back then there was a Very Intense rivalry between the pSeries-folk and
iSeries-folk.  (Which still goes on to this day, to an extent, even though
Rochester (to me obviously) designs the better chips and better software
(for MOST part).  NIH.

Nowadays there's such-a backlash that if it IS designed by Rochester, Global
Software Group (PwC and such) just doesn't wanna support it...  Again, imo.
