I would like to be able to perform my iSeries Access for Windows updates using
the QIBM directory on the iSeries by connecting via a mapped network drive and
then running the setup, instead of running it from a cd and then loading the
patches. The other day I tried this and after waiting 2 to 3 hours for the
process to run I canceled it since I knew this would not work to roll out to
the masses. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this type of connection to
work faster? Does anyone else do their client updates this way? The
sluggishness does not seem to be with my p/c.
Thanks. We are now on v5r2.
Dave
