Seems to me that for the Twinax option, if you have a 3487 or 3488 on your
system (or a 3477 on which you're only using one "side"), one solution
would be to find a cheap parallel printer your terminal can talk to.

After nearly a decade with as many as 6 AS/400s active, none with so much
as a single "system printer," I did that with an old HP LJ 4P that was
gathering dust, hooking it into a terminal that can talk to any of 4
different systems, and now we can print from any one of them.
