2. Tests: Rusty as heck (Rob Phillips)

I recently had a simple tech test. I got alot of the questions right, but I could not remember how to read a file in CL, (RCVF) it was on the tip of my tongue, but of course you have to answer like in the TV program, "Jepordy", and worse, what is DCLF, that is actually opens the file. So I didn't get the job, maybe not for that reason but still, I should be better prepared. If anyone has any notes or something to help me, God Bless.

A previous interview included an RPG question something like "List some op-codes that obscure structured programming." I drew a blank. Afterwards, I asked about them. Though I recognized them immediately, e.g., CABEQ, I realized I hadn't used them in so long that I'd almost forgotten they existed.

Similar to written drivers' tests I've taken while moving to Alaska, California and Washington in the past 12 years. They all included numerous question about drunk driving -- penalties, etc. Sheesh... I suppose if I drove around drunk once in a while I might be familiar with the answers. Consistently sober drivers are essentially penalized in that sense.

Some interview questions can be more effective than others.
