I searched the archives for "connection closed by remote host" and found http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200006/msg00064.html Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." I am trying to FTP a save file from my PC to an iSeries box. I am connected via VPN and using BINARY as the transfer type. The save file is already created on the iSeries. Before I FTP, if I DSPSAVF it tells me there are no records in the save file. When I FTP I get the message 'Netout :10054' after about 1 minute. Then I get the message 'Connection closed by remote host.' after about 1 more minute. When I do a DSPSAVF after the attempted FTP I get the message that the save file contains invalid data. I am able to send this save file to another box with no problems. Both boxes are on V5R1.
