Then atleast spend $50 to get software based firewall software.

But the point is, even they were going to run it unprotected on their cable
modem as a normal desktop, it really doesn't matter too much the fact they
are running IIS as well.  The fact they have no clue about firewalls means
they have no clue about proper administrative security on he box, either.

And that is where a lot of the script kiddies hit.  Unprotected windows
boxes sitting on broadband connections.
