My issue is that the command doesn't execute in the STRPCCMD. The STRPCO is fine (I ignore the already active).
This works for me:
STRPCO PCTA(*NO) MONMSG IWS4010 /* THIS SUPPRESSES STRPCO ALREADY ACTIVE MESSAGES */ STRPCCMD PCCMD('NOTEPAD') PAUSE(*NO)
Is yours similar?

I am trying to launch a PC command from a green screen session (right now I would even settle for getting notepad.exe working) and I keep getting the PCO.EXE not active window.
PC Side: Started the Client Access Express Remote Command service.
iSeries Side: STRPCO STRPCCMD NOTEPAD.EXE
I then get the window stating PCO.EXE is not active
I used to be able to do this, but it has been awhile. I recently installed the Websphere Developers Studio Client for iSeries(version 5.0) and I am wondering if I am simply forgetting another step or if WDSc might be stepping on something. We are running v5r1 and v5r2 on our iSeries boxes. I have searched the archives, but I believe I have accounted for all the steps. Any ideas??
