Hi Rick, You need to submit in batch STROBJCVN LIB(*ALLUSR) OBJTYPE(*FILE).This is actually a V5R1 thing, not V5R2, but if I recall the rest of the thread you did a two step upgrade? As for TCP, also from V5R1 on, there's a STRTCP(*YES/*NO) parameter on the CHGIPLA command. BTW, the old Start to restricted state (*YES/*NO) is still there. If you change start to restricted to *YES, it will override the STRTCP parameter for the next IPL only. The STRTCP(*YES/*NO) setting is a permanent change (unless you change it back of course). Hope that helps Thanks Adam Driver Technical Consultant Kaz Technology Services Level 7 66 Wentworth Ave Sydney NSW 2010 Australia Phone: +61 2 9844 0386 Fax: +61 2 9844 0333 A division of Kaz Group Limited - visit our website at www.kaz.com.au date: Sun, 28 Sep 2003 14:50:09 -0400 from: "Rick Rayburn" <the400man@xxxxxxxxxxx> subject: RE: Upgrade to 5.2 - strange occurances? what do you mean by object conversion specifically? A command to be run, an option to take? Thanks for the tip here Eduard. BTW: our qstrup did not run because the interctaive job was waiting on a message for an object not saved (damaged) in a library! do you alos know if tcpip is automatically started by os400...meaning you no longer need it in strup? >From: "Eduard van den Braken" <e.vd.braken@xxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> >To: "'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion'" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> >Subject: RE: Upgrade to 5.2 - strange occurances?
