You should just be able to do a RST and specify the tape device and path
you'd like. For example, if you wanted to restore from device TAP06 to the
path /myfolder/ and put all the objects which are in that directory on the
tape back to the directory you are specifying, you'd use the command:

RST DEV('/qsys.lib/tap06.devd') OBJ(('/myfolder/*'))

If you wanted to write on top of stuff which already exists, just add
ALWOBJDIF(*ALL) to the end.

You can also restore to a different path if you'd like, there's a parm in
the RST command for that as well.

Hope this answers your question.

Subject: Restoring IFS from Save 21

I want to restore a directory in Root from a full system save (21) that I
have. Looking at the DSPTAP it looks like the directories are objects but
what is the SAVLIB and OBJTYPE?

I can restore all of Root or the entire IFS if I have to since nothing else
has changed since the last save.

Thanks
