Brad Stone's program costs only $230, and you are done today. I've used it
for several years to do exactly what you are trying to do and I had an
automated PDF and FTP program running in an afternoon. I doubt you will code
it internally cheaper.

Subject: Creating PDF

I have two questions

1) Is there an API furnished with OS400 that allows me to convert
an SCS spooled files to PDF

2) Is there an API furnished with OS400 that allows me to create a
PDF file from within an RPG program

I would like to convert a spooled file to PDF and put the PDF file on our
server. I can either convert an existing SCS spooled file or copy the SCS
spooled file into a database file and reprocess it outputting PDF file

I know there are many vendors out there that do this but I am not interested
in purchasing a 3rd party product if I can accomplish the same thing using
OS400

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

Richard
