Carel, This is what the QNTC file system is all about. I'm using CPYTOSTMF to put files in the QNTC file system, which "points" to an NT server (in my case). This will let you copy the file straight from a database file into any directory on the server. All you have to worry about is permissions and authorities. You'd still have to have a drive mapped to this location, but it will be on the server. HTH AS/Resources, Inc.
