Jim & all, Thanks so much for the help. It appears that the firewall needed some tweaking to make the radios reconnect to their job on the AS/400. I still need to verify some time values on the AS/400, but the jobs do not hang on the 400 anymore. One full week without problems is a very good thing! Thanks for your help; this forum is a great help to us one-man-shops out here!
