Heard John Dvorak had a column a few weeks back suggesting similar. I find
this very interesting...! Especially:

"Rumours have already claimed Intel's next major mainstream processor,
Prescott, will feature AMD64 technology or something similar. While that
would effectively doom Intel's expensive Itanium project to all but the
highest-end applications, Intel may choose to risk that if it sees AMD
making too many inroads into its Xeon and Pentium sales."

And "IBM may up the figures at launch, <of Power970> and in any case,
real-world performance depends on system configuration." Yeah, TRW tends to
raise it's ugly head at inconvenient times...!

A few questions:

Is HyperTransport a-tall similar to iSeries HSL...???

And has anybody heard ANY talk of running OS X on the HyperVisor...?!?
Seems like it'd be a natural, except that Apple has gotten into the low-end
server market themselves. (Hadn't heard anything about how they're doing
with it, though.)

Hasn't it been said many times that the iSeries Nation, or similar
grass-roots effort, is the best vehicle to raise these issues (going back to
question of original post)...???
