If you're using MS Query, I'm guessing you are using ODBC. The DSN for your AS/400 will have the ccsid parameter. In WIN2K and NT there's a Control Panel thing for ODBC data sources and that's where you should find the DSN. It's definitely a CCSID problem--result fields have the offending CCSID. > -----Original Message----- > From: Ed Chabot [mailto:echabot@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2003 1:20 PM > To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion > Subject: RE: Queries & Excel > > > Angela, > I don't see an option for it in Excel. > > Ed Chabot > The Marlin Firearms Company > 100 Kenna Drive > North Haven, CT 06743 > (203)985-3254 > > -----Original Message----- > From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Angela Wawrzaszek > Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2003 3:33 PM > To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion > Subject: RE: Queries & Excel > > > I am using the import external data from withing excel using microsoft > query - therefore I do not have the option for the ccsid right? > > NOTICE: All e-mail sent to or from this e-mail address will be received or otherwise recorded by The Sharper Image corporate e-mail system and is subject to archival, monitoring, review by and/or disclosure to Sharper Image security and other management.
