The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We want to set up an 'internal web site' (for lack of a better term)
where we can deposit various formerly printed reports. We also want to
put PDF copies of invoices out there. As time goes by we will probably
think of a gazillion things we could do. Some reports we print
sporadically we could print more often because we will not be wasting
paper on reports that just get s***canned.
My question at this point what have some of the rest of you done in the
way of a directory structure? Put all invoices in a single directory,
for example? What if we want to archive each month's invoices onto a
CD? Keep months separate? Some reports are for management only and
need to be secured from view unless authorized. Are those type reports
best kept in separate directories and grant authority by directory? I
know IFS authority is different than QSYS.LIB authority.
I don't even know if I'm asking the right questions. I want thing to be
organized and secure and flexible. I'll take any advice I can get.
Thanks.
