I used-ta live around Chicago and visited the campus a few decades ago. I think Steve's point is still partially valid, as it was Netscape that took the R & D and was successful developing it into a market. Well, up to a point. IE being given away for "free" is yet ANOTHER example of where "free" kills competition.. And the innovation in the browser market...???
