The ONLY occasion Eclipse is needed at run-time is when running SWT apps. The rest of the time, Eclipse can be thought of as super-SEU + debugging tools. Regarding thick client: We're speaking past each other. I believe you are thinking of an interactive application and I am thinking of a batch application. There is no need for any UI at all for a batch application. --buck
