What do you mean? Are you suggesting there might be an alternative to NET? Tell us a bit more Joe. Eclipse runs on Linux? And on Windows? Are there any decent Java tools to build attractive GUI programs with Eclipse? For both Windows and Linux? Have you a couple of screen shots of a simple application built for Windows and also built for Java? Running on a Windows Desktop and a Linux Desktop? I would very much like to see that. Thanks Joe. --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Date: Wednesday, April 02, 2003 09:25:58 To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: Java and Visual Basic, how to learn? > From: Walden H. Of course, for Java you can get that sort of functionality (and much more) for free with Eclipse <smile>. And it runs on Linux as well. Joe
