RE: CPU percentage

Keith,

The most likely possibility is that you have an operating system task
which is consuming CPU cycles.  These tasks do not display in the active
jobs screen, although if you have performance tools, you can find them
with the WRKSYSACT command.

It is also possible that your refresh interval is inappropriate on your
WRKACTJOB display.  Make sure that you occasionally press F10 to reset
the counters.  Often what I will do is press F10 to reset the counters,
then wait ten seconds and press F5.  This would give you a ten-second
sample and most of the jobs on the screen would be reflected in the
total.

Is this performance degradation pervasive?
