Depends on the Os.  As of V5R1 you can config a basic (but pretty useable)
PPP connection.  I have also do SLIP to the 400, (came in under V3R6 or so).
Once you are connected with either PPP or slip, the connection should look
just like any other Ip connection to the 400.  CA should work, but if all
they want to do is terminal emulation, the mochasoft emulator is the way I
would go.  Easy/small to install, can run on just about anything.

Got a customer with a small 170 with 5 RS232 lines that are 
not being used. 

They want various customers to be able to dial in with 
whatever PC they have laying around(sound familar).

This customer does NOT have a pc attached to the 170 and 
shows no interest in doing so.

Can you even config a PPP connection with NO Ops Nav ???

Is SLIP an option ????(what emulation ??)

I suspect Client Access is also out of the question.
