Peter (and Jeff, too), I am using a WRKSPLF-like tool called LSTSPLF, written by Mike Cravitz back in 1995. I don't believe it was ever published and I want to say that I'm sure Mike would be OK with me sharing it with others, but I will need to check with him first. Anyway, it does both of what you two are asking, 1) being able to define what your list action options are, and 2) subsetting the list of spool files. That said, you should probably also check out Martin's suggestion, plus check out Brad Stone's shareware offering at www.bvstools.com .
