Why not V5R2?  It's been out quite some time now.  When I do a DSPPTF I 
see four cume levels so that should be more than a sufficient shake down.

End of support for V5R1 is the end of May (with a footnote).

1 - Extended support for V5R1 is available via SW Maintenance Agreement 
until 05/31/04.

Neither V5R1, nor V5R2 can compile back down to V3R2.

Thanks to all who responded.
The client now called me back and said they want to go from 4.5 to 5.1, 
not
5.2.
I have done a dozen of these upgrades, so it should be smooth sailing.

no problem with twinax on a 170 with V5R2, did it twice until now, worked
like it should. Going from V4R5 directly to V5R2 is a no brainer, if you
kept your v4 system up to date with CUM-ptfs.
