I agree, make your own system current and scratch the new system. And that was/is my recommendation. But they ignored that and thought GO RESTORE, 21 would fix their ills. System and user data There is a checklist for this in the Backup and Recovery Guide, which you need to follow. There are specific things that are different when you are changing serial numbers. The biggest is that you really need to make your own operating system current, and then scratch the new system. System and user data method. Don't. It is now Thursday morning. My boss has been offsite all week. Stuff is still not working. He is planning on doing the D IPL from tape and start from scratch. There are just too many things that you have in QSYS that are not restored. For a sample, try imagining retyping everything from the printouts generated by PRTSYSINF, which, on my system, generated 225 spool files with numerous pages each.
