Depend on the sysval QPWRRSTIPL  *SYSCTL  Automatic IPL after power 
restored  I would think.

If you have an UPS 
        "and" 
the signal cable from it to 400 is connected 
        "and"
AC into the UPS failed you should see something in the logs

If the above 
        "and"
the UPS OUTPUT fails you may see NOTHING at all

Which was my first thought.  But, wouldn't this have been reflected
somewhere in one of the logs that the power had gone out?

At the very least this would set the system status value QIPLSts to a '1',
correct?
