Yep John, Got it today and thought it was pretty cool (and actually mentioned iSeries !). I used to do graphic design and layout work (before entry into the computer field) and thought this was really nice. Our CE was in working on our tape drive from hell (we think it might finally be fixed so I guess IBM won't be giving me a new one of a different model for free...) and I showed it to him and he liked it too :-) Chuck -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@midrange.com [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@midrange.com] On Behalf Of jpcarr@tredegar.com Sent: Monday, January 13, 2003 9:09 PM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: Server Consolidation Flyer No, No, No you guys are missing what I am saying. I got a SNAIL MAIL Post card from IBM about server consolidation. The 2D picture is a bunch of PC servers in one view and the other view is a single iSeries machine. Meaning 50-100 PC server's can be replace by a single iSeries. That's it. It wasn't about running Linux on the iSeries or running WinTel on the iSeries. It implied..... trade in all those PC servers and get ONE AS/400 ! Nobody else got this Snail Mail Post Card? John Carr ------------------------------------------- I will like a copy, please send it to my address, I'm affraid the list will swalow it up. ________________________________________________________________________ _ jpcarr@tredegar.com wrote: >Has anyone received the Postcard/flyer from IBM on Server Consolidation >? > >It's one of those 2D (two different pictures when you move it up or >down). > >Really Neat.
