It's my understanding that you don't need any development tools for this.
I believe RTVCFGSRC creates a CL that can be run to create the configs for
you.

You'll need to be careful of hardware differences, however.

AFA User Profiles are concerned, use SAVSECDTA on one system, and RSTUSRPRF
followed by RSTAUT (in restricted state) to put that stuff back in order.
You should do:
    RSTUSRPRF
    RSTOBJ / RSTLIB
    RSTAUT

in that order.

Of course, that all assumes that you have the same or compatible device
type for the SAV/RST.... or that you can SAV... to a save file and ship
that save file to the other system.

Subject: howto move cfg to new AS400

I have over 520 config objects (lines, ctl units, dev, etc.) that need to
seamlessly be moved from one AS400 (now called old) to a (new) AS400.
Autoconfig just won't do the job. I ran RTVCFGSRC with the plan to move it
from one sys to the other but there are NO development tools on either
AS400.

I also need to move the user profiles ditto.

Anyone faced this?

TIA,

Jerry
