something along those lines. Don't quote me as pointing the finger at
Domino :) but that's the kind of thing I'm thinking. If the Domino backup
is the problem (I'm having trouble remembering) then Domino type processes
are where I'd look - mail cleanup and the like.

You probably have way more idea of where to look here than I do.

At least you now have something extra to tell your boss you looked at !

Let me see if I got this right.  You are not saying that a Domino job
might be conflicting with the backup - by running at the same time.  What
you are saying is that a Domino cleanup job, or some such thing, might be
due to run, but hasn't, therefore the backup runs longer, the cleanup job
then runs, and the next night the backup runs quicker?  I'll check the
stats.
