Hi,

It seems I have problems with the LDAP server (on v5r1).
First, it has to be said that I don't want to run/use it, therefore it's
set it to not autostart with tcp/ip.

However, there appear to be two autostart jobs in subsystem QSYSWRK,
QGLDPUBA and QGLDPUBE, starting with QSYSWRK even with the LDAP
(directory) server stopped.

QGLDPUBE logs two errors every hour on the hour:

GLD0502:
Error X'00000051' returned by API ldap_simple_bind_s.

and GLD0508:
Recoverable error while publishing directory object (type 3)

'hostName=NEWBOX.BOGUS.COM.AU,cn=Computers,dc=NEWBOX,dc=BOGUS,dc=COM,d
  c=AU'.

And it appears that when this happens two userspaces QGLDPQxxxx get
created in library QDIRSRV2, new ones every hour with the xxxx part
incremented. I have thousands of them!

What should I do to fix this?

As a bonus, we had to change the Systemname and the hostname over the
weekend. Strangely the new hostname is not reflected in the above error
message, it still says 'NEWBOX'.

But now, on start up Netserver logs error CPIB689 "Printshares could not
be published or updated because of an internal error.

We don't have any printshares, just fileshares (which continue to work).
The fact that the error mentions 'published' makes me think that it has
something to do with the rogue LDAP server.

Any pointers to sort this out would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Matthias
