I have three machines at V4R4 yet licensed at V5R1. We are still runnin
Quadrant FastFax Plus which uses twinax and dos pc support. We are looking
at out bound faxing choices at this time. We need to have at least 4 lines
to handle our monthly faxing of invoices. Once that is changes/upgraded I
can move to V4R5 cause I still use OV400 for mail merge. We are looking at
upgrading to an 820 which will require V5R1 so I imagine that we will be
spending the money soon.

Subject: OS400 release levels

Does anyone have some stats on the different OS/400 versions/releases
currently being used ?

I'd guess most customers are at V4R5 or higher so as to retain IBM support,
But there are always those running older hardware or whom didn't upgrade for
various reasons (time, cost...). The real question is what percentage of the
customer base do each of these older releases represent ?
