If it's PC5250 sessions hanging, try the latest service pack. I was getting occasional hangs with W2K and CA 5.1 with Service Pack SI02795 (and also the "Memory at address x'________' cannot be "Read"" nonsense) but Service Pack SI05361 seems to have resolved that. (Or maybe it was W2K Service Pack 3 that Microsoft just recently released - or a combination of the two). ...Neil "Jim Franz" <franz400@triad.rr.com> To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> cc: Subject: CA 5.1 problem with XP This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Am using CA 5.1 with svc pack prior to new one this month. Always start 2 sessions and MS-Outlook. 2 out of 5 days when shutting down, CA will not close. XP Task Manager says "not responding". Was just using session. No data shares mapped to as400. For 2 months now. Have latest XP update also. Any ideas - is it XP or CA? jim franz
