If you want to delete ALL spooled files in the job that is running the
STRQMQRY command, you can use
DLTSPLF FILE(*SELECT). This will delete all spooled files for the current
users active job.

If you want to keep some spooled files and delete others, you can specify
some constant value in the User Data parameter with something like OVRPRTF
FILE(QSYSPRT) USRDTA(USERDATA) BEFORE running the query, then use DLTSPLF
FILE(*SELECT) SELECT(*CURRENT *ALL *ALL USERDATA) to delete all spooled
files for the current user containing the specified User Data.

Subject: QMQRY Unwanted System Default Reports

I have this command in a CL (that works OK):
STRQMQRY QMQRY(FI041Q1) ALWQRYDFN(*ONLY) SETVAR((TRN_DATE &TRN_DATE))

As a result, I have dozens of spooled files in my OUTQ. However, this query
FI041Q1 is creating a workfile with totals and all that stuff. I do not
want
those system-default reports to be printed. Maybe I can programmatically
delete
the reports after running the command (maybe with DLTSPLF) but I was hoping
that
the way I coded the command was incomplete.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
