We have the same thing but it runs in a batch file like this:
Echo Open AS/400 > out.ftp
echo user me >> out.ftp
echo mepass>>out.ftp
Echo variouscommands>>out.ftp
echo bye>>out.ftp

ftp -n -s:out.ftp >ftp.err

This way the ftp session file is recreated everytime it's run.

Subject: FTP command file

We use TXT command files to run FTPs in batch to send commands to the FTP
being executed. Is there anyway to dynamically change the TXT file in batch
so that we can change the directories where files are PUT to instead of
maintaining two sets of TXT files - one for production and one for test?

Dave
