We modify our Infinium package, and every year they send us a new version, and I have to re-apply our custom changes into the new version each year... But my favorite diff program, but its commerical is the araxis product, it creates a very nice workable printout, that can do 3 compares at a time... So for me, I compare the old vanilla code, with my custom code of that version, and then compare it to the new release, and it creates a very nice report of the differences. tim > -----Original Message----- > From: Martin Rowe [SMTP:martin@dbg400.net] > Sent: Wednesday, August 14, 2002 12:24 AM > To: midrange-l@midrange.com > Subject: Re: srcmbr utility. > > On Tuesday 13 August 2002 10:45 pm, Hatzenbeler, Tim wrote: > > > Before I write this little tool, I was just wondering, if any one else > > may already have one.... > > > > I'm using some PC programs to compare the difference in source files, > > but to get the rpg source code to the PC I have to download the source > > member to the PC, so I can view the file... > > > > The tool I'm looking for is something like this... > > > > Library > > TimDev > > Source PF > > Custom > > Members > > prg1 > > prg2 > > prg3 > > > > What I would like to do is, have a tool export these source members to > > the IFS and create these files. > > ../TimDev/Custom/prg1.rpgle > > ../TimDev/Custom/prg2.rpgle > > ../TimDev/Custom/prg3.rpgle > > > > And convert them to *pc files ...
