I've had some small correspondence with several people on the Infocentre team and they've corrected a misconception I've had for quite a while. The Infocentre is NOT a library of manuals. It is an 'information centre' containing web pages and PDFs. It is not intended to be a way to get at the paper manuals from the Web. They are literally disassembling the paper manuals and turning them into web pages. So when Jerry says "Basically, we've tried to integrate these manuals into the Information Center as appropriate. For example, the RPG manuals are directly linked to from the Programming category in the Navigation frame within the Information Center; they are also included in the Info Center search", he means that the manual has been (pardon the pun) assimilated. I do NOT NOT NOT NOT mean to start another meaningless lament about the fate of the manuals. My only intent was to share the observation that the Infocentre is NOT a collection of paper manuals presented in electronic form. If a gentle reader doesn't like this trend, by all means tell the Infocentre team by using the feedback mechanism on their web page. --buck
