It is possible to modify brad's program to handle this. You need to send the username and password for the proxy server in the request header. The hard part is getting a base64 encoder, you need this in order to encode the password. The details needed for which headers need to be sent are in RFC 2616. Its the microsoft proxy server 2.0, but the problems seems to resolve around the fact it does password authentication to our nt domain database. Appearantly our browser can handle this ok, but geturi can't get by it. Has anyone else had a socket program that needs to get past a proxy similar to this?
