1) Perhaps your tcp/ip problem is a wiring issue and you may end up with
the same issue with 5250 over twisted pair, or even twinax? We learned
that it is a bad idea to drape twinax over the huge fans on the shop
floor. Lost connection in the morning when we turned the fans on, and in
the evening when they were turned off. And the newer iSeries aren't as
fault tolerant with twinax as the older ones were. Not as strong a signal
or some such thing. IBM freely admits this. Ideal solution - fix the
tcp/ip issue.
2) If you used an editor like Code, instead of SEU, it would be more
fault tolerant of temporary drops in the communications. And Code has a
lot more flexibility in cutting and pasting.

Hi all..
To start with I would like to thank all for the questions and answers
I have read here.. thanks..

We have a 820 AS400 I'm trying to find a 5250 card to hook directly to
the as400 over twinax.. for my programmers.

Our tcpip connection has problems at times and drops programmers.

The main features I'm looking for is Cut and paste and Clear..
Most software that comes with the cards only allows you to cut one
line of information .. in the same format it was highlited in..
I want one like Client access tcpip connection in a 5250 caRD.
With it you can cut multi like sections of code and replace them
in another seu editor. OR highliting a section and clear it..

A good example is to cut input specs and paste them for output.. to
disk or printer from a seu or printout ..

thanks Robin
