Check this out.

It allows access over the internet for free. All you'd need to do is permit
the outside programmer to connect to one of your PC's to fire up a client
access session.
You will, of course need to have an internal IP address.

Another alternative is www.gotomypc.com. The IP addressing and security
takes place on their servers. You connect to their server, send the
programmer an "invitation to connect" and away you go. It does cost $15-20
per month.
I've used them both, and they work well.
