At 5.1 MC adds a second server job that runs in sbs QSYSWRK and is Java based.

#1 make sure you have QSYSWRK running
#2 Make sure you have the 1.1.8 JDK(I think that's right) installed

Subject: Management Central at V5R1

I'm having a problem accessing Management Central on a system that was
recently upgraded to V5R1.

The joblog looks like:

                                                            System:
SYSTEMX
Job . . : QYPSJSVR User . . : QYPSJSVR Number . . . :
076275
 >> QSYS/CALL PGM(QSYSDIR/QYPSJSVR)
Job 073719/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073725/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073714/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073723/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073721/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073715/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073717/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073722/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Job 073720/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing.
Management Central server McServer on port 5544 started.
Object QYPSJDTAQ in library QUSRSYS not found.
Object QYPSJDTAQ type *DTAQ created in library QUSRSYS.
    Management Central connection failed.

The connection failed message states to check previously listed messages in
the joblog. The message with port 5544 (CPIB9B5) is a severity 40 message.

The message I receive on the PC is "Unable to complete connection to
central system xxxxx".

I have the latest service pack for Client Access (SI02795) and all the
required PTF's for OS400 to work with Management Central. Not sure what
the CPIB9B5 message means. To me it looks informational.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
