It has a printer driver that can be utilized by your PC machines, and you can fax directly from your iseries applications. Does not require any external PC. Can use certain IBM modems shipped for ECS support for low volume usage. It can also use numerous other integrated hardware, like the 4 port communication cards with the built in modems. We are thinking about investing into a fax system which will run on our NT network, allowing PC documents to be received and transmitted to and from other fax machines. We would also want this system to handle documents that are output from our AS400 based JBA ERP system, such as order acknowledgements, invoices and purchase orders. We currently use an NT based package, Formscape to print these documents from JBA and then some of these documents are manually faxed. Has anyone out there implemented a similar system? If so what hardware and software did you purchase and what were the implentation costs. I have read that Quadrant Software's FastFax is a good solution but would be interested in any alternative solutions. Any info will be much appreciated, TIA Phil Mant, Williams Controls. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
