Try ending debug, doing a RCLACTGRP *eligible and then strdbg again. Or log off, back on, strdbg and then run it. -----Original Message----- From: Dr Syd Nicholson [mailto:sydnic@ccs400.com] Sent: Thursday, July 11, 2002 12:53 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: RPG ILE Debug at V5R1 *This message was transferred with a trial version of CommuniGate(tm) Pro* Can anybody shed some light on this problem? I am using free format RPG ILE at V5R1 and cannot debug it!! I am using the STRDBG command and adding break points. However, when I run the program the breakpoints are ignored. The programs run as if debug was not active. They do not stop at any breakpoints, nor do they show the source code when an error is encountered. The modules that comprise these programs are compiled with DBGVIEW(*SOURCE). Does anybody know why this should be the case? Are there any PTFs I should have? Is there something obvious that I have missed? Many thanks in advance.
